THE SOULS: A Creative Playground

Hello, my name is Wendi and I’m the creator and founder of several Portland-bound companies—from the old Curiosity Group and Scout Creative, to the newly spun off Crush Creative and its sister company, Foto Crush (our stationery and photo card product line).

As you might have guessed, in our little corner of the world, we let our creativity roam free with few boundaries. Hence the content marketing services and creative products we indulge in. Our minds couldn’t contain themselves to just one! And why choose? We love them both.

I recently created The Souls blog series based on my love of all things creative—the thought process, the problem solving, inspiring the teams, the creation, the end result, and the shiny, happy faces of the people we please at the end of it all.

The Souls is a tribute to a 19th century english “club” of satirists, artists, bon vivants, politicians, and intellectuals. “You all sit and talk about each other souls.” This little coterie of Souls loved to discuss literature, art, life, photography, and the times they lived in. Many of whom have since become immortal, such as Arthur Balfour, George Curzon, Harry Cust, George Wyndham, Margot Tennant and Madeline Wyndham.

And why not? When you spend your time dreaming, collaborating, and debating with other like-minded friends, it’s bound to produce some of the most important thinkers of the day…and a legacy that will shape the world.

I too love the idea of talking about things that inspire, except in my version of The Souls, I want to extend the conversation to you and other creatively-minded folks.

In my way of thinking, when it gets down to it, creativity fills the soul like no other endeavor.
